Among the scholars of Sharia, we are in no need to speak about it, and the truth regarding that with us is only with those who said it is permissible as long as it is called khuff (He arrived at the hidden ruling on that) [Al-Khafi] It is what is apparent] Which is to say that the khof is called khuff from the meaning of the khuff because it covers the man completely, so if it breaks and something appears on the leg, he wipes over what is visible of it and wipes over the khuff, and that is as long as it is called a khuff, this condition must be fulfilled and it is in it. A wondrous secret for the wise and correct person . The hidden is also the apparent. Imru’ al-Qays says, “ Hide them from their secrets ,” meaning, make them appear and show them. [ The Sharia. The rule of God, not the rule of reason ] Sharia law is the rule of God, not the rule of reason, as some of them see it [Page 348 of the Cairo Edition]. The purity of Sharia law is seen from the One True God, and for this reason we should not challenge the ruling of a mujtahid, because the law that is God’s ruling has determined that ruling, so it is God’s law that He has determined it, and it is an issue that falls within the prohibition.
