They will have therein fruits, and they will have what they call upon. Peace, a word from a Merciful Lord. Then this verse was recited by the inhabitants of Paradise on that day: better, settled, and of a better abode. [ Lifting the veil And enjoying the sight of oneself ] Here ends the hadith of Abu Bakr, the discussion that we attributed in the chapter on resurrection before this in the hadith of positions. Then after this speech, the Almighty God raises the veil and appears to His servants, so they fall down in prostration, and He says to them, “Raise your heads, for this is not the place for prostration.” My servants, I have not called you except that you may enjoy watching Me. Then He will hold them in that as long as God wills. Then He will say to them, “Is there anything left for you after this?” They will say, “O our Lord, and what is left? You have saved us from the Fire, and admitted us to the abode of Your pleasure, and placed us near You, and stripped upon us the garments of Your generosity and showed us Your face.” Then the Truth, glory be to Him, says, “Remains.” To you, and they say, O our Lord, and what is that that remains? He says, “My pleasure is always with you, so I will never be displeased with you.” What a sweetest word, and what delicious good news, so glory be to Him began to speak. He created us and said, “Be,” and the first thing from which we were to hear, so He concluded with what He began with, said this statement, so He concluded with the hearing, which is this good news. People differ in seeing Him, Glory be to Him, and vary greatly in it as much as
