God Almighty said: “The month of Ramadan” and did not say “Ramadan.” And He said: “Whoever among you witnesses the month and does not say Ramadan” is strengthened by this hadith of Abu Mu’shar, with the scholars saying about it that he writes down his hadith even though it is weak, so he added strength to this hadith due to what the Qur’an supports of that. So God did not impose fasting, which has no equal, to begin with. Except in a month that He, Glory be to Him, named by one of His names in a similar way to the months, because none of the names of the months of the year has a name by which God is called, except Ramadan, so it came with a special name that was designated by a specific person. This is not the case in adding Rajab, in which the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, says that it is God’s Muharram month, so all God’s months, and we only call them Muharram, which is one of the sacred months .

Then God Almighty revealed the Qur’an in this month on the best night called Laylat al-Qadr, so He sent it down therein as guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion from it being Ramadan. As for it being Laylat al-Qadr, He sent it down as a clear book, that is, we made it clear that it is a book and between the fact that something is a book, a Qur’an, and a criterion. Distinct levels that those who know God know. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade it from being said “Ramadan” due to his saying, “There is nothing like it.” If it had been said, it would be an example in this name, so he added the word “month” to it so that the similarity in the months in particular would be eliminated and there would remain nothing like it of its rank in every respect.

God has imposed his fast and recommended that he perform it, and it includes fasting and breaking the fast because it includes day and night, and the name Ramadan is applied to it in the case of fasting and breaking the fast so that it is distinguished from Ramadan, which is the name of God Almighty. For God Almighty has the fast that does not accept breaking the fast, and for us is the fast that accepts breaking the fast and ends. To a point, which is the end of the day, the approach of night, and the setting of the sun, so applying it to the truth is not similar to applying it to creation .

He recommended standing up on a night because of His manifestation, the Almighty, on the day when people will rise up to the Lord of the Worlds. Even if the manifestation is for God every night of the year, his manifestation in Ramadan at a time when fasting people break the fast is not the same as His manifestation for someone who breaks the fast without fasting, because this is the presence of breaking the fast from abandoning a law described as not Similar to him, and that other is not called one who breaks the fast, rather it is called one who eats if the fast breaks the fast. This eating is for the fasting person to split his intestines with food and drink after blocking them with fasting, as he said, block his ducts with hunger and thirst, and standing up was at night because standing is a result of strength in the place and a strong cause of the place of food, and it was at night on the occasion of the unseen, for power is from Food is an unseen, imperceptible force produce

And since Ramadan included fasting, breaking the fast, and standing and not standing for that

It was mentioned in the report: “None of you should say, ‘I stayed up all of Ramadan and fasted it.’”

The narrator said, “I do not know whether he disliked purification or he said it is necessary.” From sleep or rest, he made the exception for praying during his night, not for fasting during his day. This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, on the authority of Abu Bakra, on the authority of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. So breaking the fast here is the end, approach, and sunset, whether one eats or not .

Fasting the month of Ramadan is obligatory for every Muslim adult, sane, healthy, residing and non-traveling person, and it is the specification of this known, well-known and specific time among the twelve months that are between Shaban and Shawwal. The specific part of this time is fasting days rather than nights, and the day of fasting is from the rise of dawn to sunset. This is the prescribed day limit for fasting, not the day limit known as day, for that is from the rising of the sun until its setting, and since one to whom there is nothing like Him is described by the first and the last, likewise fasting that has no equal is described by a first and an end, for its beginning is dawn rising and its end is sunset, so he did not make its beginning similar to its end because he considered In its beginning, what is not considered in its afterlife, of what is present in its afterlife, the fasting person is described in it as breaking the fast, and in its beginning, it is described

After we mentioned specifying the day of fasting, whether it is in the month of Ramadan or elsewhere, let us look at determining the month. The minimum name of the month is twenty-nine days and the maximum is thirty days. This is the Arab lunar month, especially the one we were required to know and the ordinary witnesses of the sign as well, but the people of the sign make the month nine.
