Then, those whom God has abandoned among His servants, He has made them into two groups, a group that will not be harmed by the sins that have occurred from them, which is His saying, “And God promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty, so let the Fire not touch them because of what God has accepted for them and the forgiveness of the Most High Council for them and His prayers for this group and another group. God has taken them for their sins, and those whom God has taken for their sins are their portion.” In two categories, one: God brought them out of the Fire through the intercession of the intercessors, and they are the people of major sins among the believers, and by divine providence, and they are the people of monotheism, according to the rational view. And another section: God kept them in the Hell.

And this category are the people of Hell who are its inhabitants, and they are the criminals, especially those about whom God says, “You are distinguished today, O criminals,” meaning those who deserve to be worthy of inhabiting this abode, which is Hell, inhabited by those who emerge from it to the Hereafter, which It is Paradise, and these criminals are four groups, all of them in Hell. They will not be brought out of it. They are arrogant before God, like Pharaoh and others like him, who claimed divinity for himself and denied it from God. He said, “O eminent ones, I have not known that you have any god other than Me,” and he said, “I am your Lord, the Most High.” He means that there is no god in heaven other than Me, and so are Nimrod and others. And the second sect is the polytheists, and they are those who make with God another God [page 302 of the Cairo edition] and they said: We do not worship them except to bring us closer to God, and they said: The gods are God .
