( In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful ) ( Chapter Fifty-Four on Knowing Signs ) The science of signs: approximation and distance * ** And its course in you will cause you to repent and lead So search for it, for God has made it *** for those who do it are immorality and atheism [ Page 279 From the Cairo edition ] Warning of the infallibility of the one to whom God said *** Be, so he was established as he was, and the people are witnesses [ Absence from seeing the face of truth in things is the eye of illness ] Know, may God help us and you with a spirit from Him, that pointing is with the people of God’s path. It signals distance or the presence of others. Some of the sheikhs said in the virtues of gatherings that the sign is a call at the head of distance and an indication of the cause, meaning that this is a declaration of the occurrence of the disease, for the cause is an illness, which is our statement or the presence of others, and by the cause here he does not mean the cause, nor the cause upon which the wise theorists have agreed, and an image of a disease in it. The counselor is absent from the aspect of the right to that other person, and whoever is absent from the aspect of the right regarding things, the lawsuit will prevail, and the lawsuit is the same as illness.
