God Almighty said, “And We are closer to Him than our jugular vein,” so He described Himself as close to His servants. What is required of closeness is that it be the quality of a servant, so that He is described as being close to the truth, as the truth is close to Him, as He said, “And He is with you wherever you are,” and men seek to be with the Truth forever in whatever form it manifests. And He continues to be manifested in the forms of His servants always, so the servant is always with Him wherever He is manifested, just as the servant is not always without His essence, and God is always with Him wherever He is, so the essence of truth is the form of what He manifests in it. So the knowers are still ever-present witnesses of closeness, because they continue to bear witness to the forms in their souls and other than their souls.
