This is like their saying about him that he has no attributes, so servitude has an essence, so he has no specific name other than what his beloved calls him by, so whatever name he called him and called him by, he responds and fulfills it. So if the lover is asked, “What is your name,” he says, “Ask the beloved,” and whatever he called me by, it is my name. I have no name. I am the unknown, who has no name. He knows, and the indefinite person who does not recognize the Lover of God has no name that indicates Himself.
