If it is said that this is permissible in the time of the existence of the messengers and today, then only one has legislated. Is it conceivable that the prophets of the saints would rule in a way that contradicts the law of Muhammad, may God bless him and grant him peace? We said, “No, yes.” As for our saying, “No,” it is not permissible for him to rule according to his opinion. As for our saying, “Yes,” it is permissible for Al-Shafi’i to He rules in a way that contradicts the Hanafi ruling, and both of them were legislated by Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He decided on the two rulings, so his law contradicted his law. If it happened that you would inform the prophets of the saints about what the truth taught them of the rulings of the law of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, or they would witness the Messenger, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he would inform them of the ruling on a matter that he saw in disagreement
