[ It is not righteous to fast while traveling ]
(Check the original text in Arabic ...)
It is proven in the two Sahihs Muslim and Al-Bukhari on the authority of Ibn Abbas that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: It is not righteousness to fast while traveling.
The word “who” in this hadith is from Al-Bukhari’s narration, for the hadith of Muslim is that righteousness is not in the name of travel. Travel because it leads to the morals of men because of the hardship and effort it entails for those with wealth and left-handedness. So what about the weak? Whoever’s work leads to his worker’s deprivation of his fasting has become isolated and he leaves it to the worker, so he should not claim it even though he is fasting. This is fasting that is not tinged with hypocrisy in his eyes, for it is not righteousness or it is not righteousness to do so. A person claims that what he knows is not his, that he is his, even if he is confirmed by his Lord. This is a sign, so stop at it, as the discussion on this topic has been long .
