It has been reported from some of the Companions that they used to place men as those that are next to the qiblah and women as those that are next to the imam. If they were asked about that, they said, “It is the Sunnah,” and it is more preferable to me. If something like this occurs, it is included in the Musnad according to them, and stopping in the ruling is more appropriate. This is why those who differentiate in prayer between men and women should be careful.
