Since the attributes are relative and additions, and the ratios are nihilistic matters, and there is only one essence in all aspects, therefore it is permissible for the servants to be merciful in the end, and the lack of mercy does not extend to them to infinity, since there is no compulsion for them to do so, and the names and attributes are not entities that necessitate a ruling. On things, there is no objection to mercy being inclusive of everyone, especially since it has been reported that it precedes anger. If the anger ends with it, the ruling is for it, so the matter is as we said. That is why God Almighty said, “And if your Lord had willed.”
