No one returns to his family except the absent person, and the absent person is a stranger, so the strangers are the repentant, so love from God is for them the love of the family of the absent person when their absent person is returned to them. Whoever is among his family watching him in his state of absence does not rejoice in him for himself, for he has not lost him, but rather his joy in him is due to his joy in his return to his homeland. A joy that matches the love of the beloved for his lover, because it is the same as his love for himself, and that is why he hates whoever hates him because of his love for himself. Indeed, God loves those who repent to Him in every situation, whether in disagreement or agreement, so He is accepted and loved in every situation. And if repentance is loved for the sake of connection, then the one who is connected does not connect, for he is stronger in love and greater in pleasure, and he is the crossing. Whoever sees that the divine command and the breadth of the divine truth does not last for a specific state and it should not, and therefore it is every day in a matter and does not repeat itself, then repentance is not valid, for it is a return, and there is no return except from a departure from a matter to which it is returned, and the truth is contrary to it, so there is no return, so there is no repentance, and his saying, “And to Him it will be returned.” The whole matter is when the matter became strange to those who were veiled from its homeland because of what they called upon Him for their souls.
