[ Intercession for disobedient people to whom the call did not reach ]

The monotheist to whom the call did not reach will not enter Hell, so intercession is only for the sinners to whom the call reached. Some of them believed, and some of them stopped believing in this person because of what he brought because he relied on a great matter that should not be slandered, so he needed evidence to confirm it. On the truth of his claim in what he learns that it is from God, this is why he stopped, since God did not grant him the necessary knowledge to begin with the truth of this Messenger’s claim .

[ The verses that prove the truth of the Messenger’s claim ]

God Almighty said: “And We will not chastise until We send a messenger, meaning We send him with clear signs of the truth of his claim.” And God Almighty also told us that He supported the messengers with clear proofs to excuse man from his own self, and faith is a light that God casts into the heart of whomsoever of His servants He wills.

So if it is added To the light of knowledge, it is light upon light. Let us proceed regarding the condition of the dead person who is prayed over, what is obligatory for him, and what is obligatory for us for his sake, of preparing him according to the qualities that the Lawgiver commanded us to have.

[ The first case of indoctrination ]

And from that indoctrination is the indoctrination at death when one is dying, for the fear is severe and the position is great, and it is a time of temptation, which is the temptation of life, with what the dying person reveals when the veil is uncovered from his sight, so he sees what the present person does not see, and the ancestors of his acquaintances appear to him in the forms in which he recognizes them, and they are devils in the form of To him in their pictures, in the best dress and the best appearance, and to let him know that they did not reach the state of beauty they are in except because they died as polytheists to God, so the believers present with him at that time should instruct him in the testimony of monotheism and acquaint him with the form of this temptation, so that he will be aware of that and die as a united Muslim and a believer, for when he utters the testimony of monotheism And his tongue moves with it or its light appears from his heart when he rememb

[ Seeking refuge from the temptation of life and the temptation of death ]

As for the prophets, peace be upon them, seeking refuge from it, they are responsible for the one to whom it was sent, which is Gabriel, peace be upon him, just as we ask about the Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, used to seek refuge in the tashahhud in prayer from the temptations of life and death, because he knew that the prophets are tempted in death just as The believers will be tempted, so he commanded the believers to seek refuge from that in prayer, for during prayer a person is in a position of closeness to God by conversing with Him and asking Him for revelation .

(He arrived) [Facing the dead person to the Qiblah]

Among the conditions that are desirable to address to the family of the dead is that they face the Qiblah at the time of death. If he is on his back, he should face the Qiblah with his feet, and if he is on his side, he should face the Qiblah with his face .

(arrived) [expediting the burial of the dead]

Among what is recommended is to hasten his burial and rush him to his grave. If he is happy, you hasten to his good, and if he is miserable, then remove evil from your necks. So the dead should be respected in happiness, and the living who is its bearer should be respected by removing evil from him. This is hastening for the sake of the dead, and this is hastening for the sake of the bearer .

Rather, the explanation came from the Sharia to hasten this so that it is known that God did not charge His servants except for the sake of goodness and not in order to obtain evil thereby. So he considered the case of the wretched bearer and said, “Hurry up with the funeral, for it is an evil that you will remove from your necks.” He considered the burden of carrying the happy dead person, so he said, “Hurry up with him, for it is good that you will present to him.” How gentle is the ruling of the street .

[ Haste is from Satan except in three cases ]

It has been reported that haste is from Satan, except for three of them: preparing the dead, and from preparing him is rushing him to his burial. So the dead person says while he is on his coffin when it is being carried, “If he is happy, bring me, bring me.” And if he is miserable, he says, “Where are you taking me?” Every animal hears that from him except the two heavy ones .

Among the things that relate to the living from the dead is also its washing, which is like purification for prayer, and its action is addressed to the living, and people differed about it, I mean in its ruling. Some say that it is obligatory according to sufficiency, and those who say that it is a sunnah according to sufficiency. Whoever says that it is obligatory, then it is based on the command mentioned in his saying, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, “Wash it three or five times.” And his saying regarding the forbidden thing, wash him, this is undoubtedly a command in the formula, so if it is coupled with a presumption of the time of his graduation from the teaching’s description of the characteristic of washing, it makes it a Sunnah, and whoever sees that it includes the command and the characteristic says that it is obligatory.
