The seed or its perfume. God Almighty said: It is watered with one water, and We prefer some of it over the other in eating. Then He said: Indeed, in that are signs for a people who reason. So the intention in that is nothing but supply, as God Almighty said: “He leads astray many thereby, and guides thereby many.” Meaning: Like what is multiplied by it in the Qur’an, that is, because of it, and it is from the Qur’an Just as water is the cause of the appearance of these different scents and different tastes, likewise intentions are the cause of good and bad deeds

[ Guidance and Misguidance ]

It is known that the entire Qur’an is guided, but by interpretation of the proverb used, whoever goes astray goes astray, and by it the one who is guided is guided. Because of it being a proverb, its reality has not changed, but the defect occurred in the eye of understanding. Likewise, the intention gave its reality, which is its attachment to the sperm and whether that sperm is good or bad. It is not for her, but that is for the one who judges goodness and ugliness, and God Almighty said, “Indeed, We have guided him to the path,” that is, We have shown him the path of happiness and misery. Then He said, “Is he thankful or ungrateful?” This refers to the appointed addressee. If he intends goodness, it will produce goodness, and if he intends evil, it will produce evil. So what comes to him is nothing but a substitute of his goodness or his malice. God Almighty says, “And upon God is the intention of the path.” That is, this I have made obligatory upon myself. God was saying, “He who is obligated to the side of truth among you should show you the path that will lead to your happiness.”
