Much like what the people of wiping disagreed about on the slippers, whether or not, as for those who limited it to three fingers, they took into account the emergence of monotheism in three stages, which is the ruling of Sharia regarding a person in its meaning, in his senses, and in his imagination. If monotheism applies to these three, it is not permissible to adopt it and move to wiping or washing the man as it is transmitted. A person’s separation of himself from such monotheism has removed the ruling of Sharia from him, so the ruling on the one from whom the name of the khuff has been removed < h3 style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0)"> (Chapter on the timing of wiping) [The difference of jurists regarding the timing of wiping ]

There is a difference of opinion regarding this, some who say that the timing includes three days and two nights for the traveler and one day and one night for the resident, and those who say that there is no timing and that he should wipe away what appears to him unless an impediment arises, such as impurity
