From the soul of the Most Gracious is His saying: That is God, your Lord. There is no god but Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him. This is the monotheism of existence, not the monotheism of appreciation, for it is a command to worship and not He commands worship except for those who are described by existence and made existence belong to the Lord, so He made that name between God and praise and made it added to us as a special addition to the Lord. It is a special addition to unite Him in His sovereignty and glory and in the necessity of His existence. He does not accept nothingness as the possible accepts it, for His existence is established for Himself and He is also united in His dominion through our acknowledgment of slavery.
