Here is a secret that cannot be revealed. So whoever God informs him of it, he knows it. God told His servants about it that he has a companion, a son, and proverbs, and that he is miserly and that he is poor due to his saying, “And We are rich.” Then he said, “We will write down what they said,” and God wrote it as an affirmation, and this is the subject of the secret to the one whose insight God opened. Then in His saying, “God has heard the words of those who said, ‘Indeed, God is poor and we are rich.’” So He punished them with the disbelievers, and they were the ones who concealed what was due to them, of exaltation and participation in the names of the attributes, not in their names. The servant means the submissive. It is said, “paved land,” meaning humiliated.
