Everything that the soul has been made to do will not be removed by striving or by exercise, but rather its means differ, so the tongue differs over it in condemnation and praise. If he takes it to the right, then he is stingy with his religion and keen to do good, and he is angry with God. And if he takes it to the left, then he is angry, ignorant, and stingy with what he is obligated to be generous with, such as zakat. Teaching knowledge is truly disgraceful and moral, and teaching this section contains great comfort and benefit for people, while they are unaware of it. End of part ninety-eight.
