The majority of Sharia scholars said that it is part of the Sunnah of Sa’y between Al-Safa and Al-Marwah to pray when one ascends Al-Safa, facing the House, then descend, and when it reaches the green mile, which is the valley’s interior, sand, until it reaches the second green mile, and that was the limit of the ascent to Al-Marwah. He limited the width of the valley, but today it has been swamped by what the floods brought. That is why he decided to make the two miles a mark for the valley’s interior so that it would be the legal limit of sand for sa’i. Then he should saa’i without hastening if he passed the second mile in the form of what descended from Al-Safa. If he reached Al-Marwah, he did at Al-Marwah the same as he did. In Al-Safa, then he returned to seek Al-Safa from Al-Marwah, and his condition would be like the first condition in the sand and calm until he completed seven times .
