Even if the minds are at a high apex, the nadir corresponds to its apogee, and it is the home of the psychological nature. He looks at it from its aspects and sees it facing it on a straight line with no crookedness in it, and that line is the one along which the ascension from the nadir to the apogee occurs if the soul is pure, and accordingly the descent of the mind to the abyss occurs. From the height of it, if the mind fails, but the straightness of the line fails it, then it is based on the straightness that he broke his fast. Then he saw the soul complaining of its crookedness towards him. This is what the mind deceived from the soul, for the mind has no share in nature and helped it to descend.
