Since fasting is for God and He wanted the servant to draw near to God Almighty by entering into it and attributing it to God Almighty, it would have been better for him to spend the night from the first third to the last of the first or middle third, for God will be manifested at that time in His descent to the lowest heaven, and the servant will draw near to Him in His capacity, which is fasting. Fasting is only for God unless the servant is characterized by it, and unless the servant is characterized by it, it is not then fasting is for God, for he is in this place like villages because the truth descends to him and upon him .
