Since the passive indicates the active and requires it by itself, for this reason he dispensed with mentioning the passive without mentioning what he was passive about because it includes it. God Almighty said, “Neither wet nor dry,” and He did not mention nor hot nor cold. This is part of the eloquence and miracle of the Qur’an, as it is known that the one who brought it was Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And peace be upon him, he was not one of those who worked in the natural sciences and knew this much, so he knew for sure that this was not on his part, and that it was a revelation from the Wise, the Praiseworthy, and that the one who said this was knowledgeable, and he was God Almighty, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, knew everything by God teaching him and informing him, not by his thought, consideration, and research, so he does not know the extent.
