What supports what we have mentioned is that the angels said, “Whoever created them, since they did not want good except for themselves, and their nature prevailed in that, about agreeing with the truth in what He wanted to manifest in the universe, who made Adam a caliph on earth,” then He informed them of that, but they did not agree with him, due to the rule of nature in greed for the highest ranks, then He concealed the rule of nature so that it would not be attributed to shortcomings from not agreeing with the truth. So he established for them a picture of jealousy on behalf of the truth and preference for his greatness, and they were astonished from glorifying him, since if they had sided with and what he should have of greatness, they would have agreed with him, and if they had rejected goodness, they said, “Will you place therein someone who will make corruption in it and shed blood while we praise Him?” With Your praise and we sanctify You, that is, we are more deserving
