Then the spirit, which is the mind, is revealed from him by what God has planted in him of knowledge, wisdom, and secrets that only God knows. And all of these sciences, some of which are related to the universe and some of which are related to God, are like zakat on wheat because it is the highest grain, and the soul is revealed by what God has planted. There are thoughts and desires in it that only God Almighty knows. This is its plant and it is in the position of dates, and God’s zakat on it is the first thought, and among the desires is the desire that is for the sake of God, but we compared it with dates because the palm tree is our uncle, so it is to the mind in the same position as the palm tree is to Adam, for it was created from the rest of his clay, and as for the limbs, God planted. In it are all the good deeds, so the good deeds will grow and a portion of zakat will be given from them, the legitimate deeds that God sees in them.
