The whims, heresies, and all major things that do not discredit “There is no god but God” are not considered to influence the people of “There is no god but God,” for monotheism is not opposed by anything despite its presence in the soul of the servant. If it were not for the text contained in the polytheist and in those who enacted polytheism, intercession would prevail for everyone who acknowledged its existence. And if he is not monotheistic, then the polytheist has a form of monotheism, I mean monotheism of the greatest divine rank, for the polytheist made the partner an intercessor with God. They say, “These are our intercessors with God, just as they said, ‘We only worship them so that they may bring us closer to God’. So this polytheist united God in His greatness, and the partner does not have this rank with him, since if it were He has what he has chosen as an intercessor, and the intercessor is not a judge.
