The scholars from the schools of thought and others agreed that it is not valid for him to pray sitting obligatory if he is alone or as an imam, and they differed regarding the person being led in prayer if it is valid and he prays behind a sick imam, and that sick imam prays sitting, based on three opinions. Some say that he prays behind him sitting, and I say so, and some say that they are. They pray behind him standing, and there is someone who says that it is not permissible for him to lead him if he prays sitting, but if they pray behind him standing or sitting, their prayer is invalid.
