Then another signature came in the answer, in which it was written, “Indeed, God does not forgive anyone associating partners with Him, but He forgives anything other than that to whomever He wills.” Wahshi said, “I do not know whether I am one of those who wished to be forgiven or not,” so a third signature appeared in the answer, in which it was written. O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God’s mercy. God forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. When Wahshi read this signature, he said, “Now I accept Islam. ”
