The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “The world is an abode of affliction and a abode of hardship and difficulty. The souls of the happy have been stripped from it and it has been snatched from the hands of the miserable. The happiest people in it are the most willing of it, and the most wretched in it are the most desirous of it. It is the one who deceives those who are advised by it, the one who deceives those who obey it, and the one who betrays those who are submissive.” For it, the winner is the one who turns away from it, and the one who falls in love with it is destroyed. Blessed is the servant in it who fears his Lord and advises himself and offers his repentance and the last of his desires before this world expels him to the Hereafter, so he becomes in a desolate, dusty, overflowing stomach with injustice, unable to add to his good deeds or subtract from his bad deeds.
