Then the other veil is in their ignorance of their own souls and of what is within them. The mind and thought did not obtain the right to them through work or acquisition, but rather through a divine gift, and they rejoice in it. So, was their joy in what the truth gave them of knowledge through the light of faith greater than their joy in what they obtained in terms of thought? Then it is their ignorance. And their veil is that they bear witness at times in the knowledge of what they have taken in thought as a doubt that enters upon them and removes it from their hands or confuses them about it, so they become distressed by that intense grief and work their minds on something of some kind of connotation. Either that removes those doubts from them until they know that they are doubts, so they return to what they were without more, and they lose what they had. God gives him more in every soul, or He gives them the thought that this suspicion is not a suspicion, but rather evidence
