I was free from houses and domes *** No one made it difficult for my veil

My house is space and the roof of my house *** the sky of God or pieces of clouds

If you want to enter my house *** upon a Muslim without a door

Because I did not find a door shutter *** that would be from heaven to dust

And the soil is not ripped from the wood of the bed *** I hope to tighten my clothes with it

Nor was I afraid of persecution of my servants *** nor was I afraid of persecution of my beasts

And I will never be held accountable as a debtor *** I fear that I will go to extremes in the account

In this is comfort and peace of life *** So eternity has been forever and ever

Our uncle Abu Muslim al-Khulani, may God have mercy on him, was one of the most senior of them. He used to pray at night, and when fatigue overtook him, he hit his feet with the rods he had, and he said to his feet, You are more deserving of beating than my mount. After them were men from whom we met a large group, whom we mentioned in our books, and we saw from their conditions that the books were too narrow for them

[ The ascetics who leave the world without power ]

And among them, may God be pleased with them, are ascetics, and they are the ones who left the world out of ability. In the case, it is possible that if something of it happened to him, he would not have abstained from among their leaders, Ibrahim bin Adham, and his hadith is famous. Some of my uncles among them had owned the city of Tlemcen, called Yahya bin Yagan. Al-Tunisi was in a place outside Tlemcen. He was called to the servants. He had been cut off by a mosque in which God was worshiped, and his tomb is famous for being visited, and between us this righteous man was walking in the city of Tlemcen between the two cities, Agadir and the middle city, when our uncle Yahya bin Yagan, the king of the city, met him in his care and his honor. So he grabbed his horse s bridle and greeted the sheikh. He replied, peace be upon him, and the king was wearing luxurious clothes. He said to him, Sheikh, these clothes that I am wearing are permissible for me to pray in. The Sheikh laughed, so the king said to him, Why are you laughing? The carrion, its eating and its filth, and if it comes, He urinates, raising his leg so that he does not urinate, while you are a container full of forbidden things, and you are asking about the clothes and the grievances of the servants in your neck . So he used to bring firewood on his head and enter the market with people looking at him and crying, so he sells and takes his money and gives the rest in charity, and it was still in his country that he was buried outside the Sheikh s soil and his grave today is visited by it, so the Sheikh, if people came to him, asking to pray for them, he said to them, Seek supplication from Yahya bin Yagan. He is a king, so he ascetic, and if I was afflicted with what he was afflicted with from the king, perhaps I would not have asceticism.

I am in the state that you may see *** if you contemplate the best of people at the moment

My house is where I want from the stable of the earth *** I water from the rain water

I do not have a father nor do I have a child *** I see him and I do not see any children

Make the right forearm and my pillow *** and when you turn it will be the left

You may have enjoyed a period of things *** if you had thought about them, they would have been a fantasy

These ascetics are the ones who preferred the truth over the creation and their souls. Every command of God in which there is contentment and altruism they carried out and accepted it, and the truth had no turning away from it, they left the little with the desire for much. The ascetic has no departure from this position in asceticism. Another word for asceticism in the terminology of the people may be given to abandoning everything
