[ Explanation of the Eight Kinds of Giving ]

Gifting is giving what is a blessing in the right of the giver, which suits his mood and agrees with his purpose, and the gift is giving to be especially blessed, and the gift is giving to elicit love, for it is about love. The good is varied, and if he is given with this reward, his giving is not due to his subjugation, when the soul is conditioned to it.
