If there is a zakat payment on it and they bring it, it will be accepted from them, and God knows best. We do not have to ask for zakat from a polytheist. They will be forgiven for what has passed, and the unbeliever here is a polytheist, not a monotheist.

(Wasl) [Consideration in the Zakat of the Dhimmis]

Consideration God Almighty said: They do not observe a believer except and under his protection, but God is one of His names, and the dhimma is the covenant and the contract. Whoever equates two people, he makes them two examples, and the Almighty has said, There is nothing like Him. He does not accept the monotheism of a polytheist.

It is obligatory or something from the supererogatory that it is supererogatory, and if he abandons faith in one thing, from an obligatory or a supererogatory act, his faith will not be accepted from him unless he believes in all.
