Page 538 - from Volume Four (Display Image)O you who work physically *** and be deceived by the length of hope And he was still in heedlessness *** until the time approached him Death comes suddenly *** and the grave is the chest of work And I saw written on a grave Umm Ibn al-Basili, and her son was one of my friends, and he raised it and built it and spent a lot of money on its construction, so one of our companions wrote verses on it to some of them telling about the situation and it is I see the people of palaces when they died *** they built those tombs with rocks They refused anything but arrogance and pride *** over the poor, even in the graves If the difference is at its peak *** then justice is in its depths Their father s life would have been if they had distinguished them *** they would not have known the rich from the poor Nor did they know the slaves from the master *** nor did they recognize the females from the males Nor the body clothed with a woolen garment *** nor the body softened in silk If this one dies, then this one, then what is the preference of the rich over the poor? There was written on a grave in the city of Sal , cut off from the dirt, two houses on the tongue of the owner of the grave And I looked as I looked *** and I looked and what I considered So see for yourself, sir, *** before getting what happened A Sunni (will) from a high-spirited person Do not supplicate to a creature out of greed, for that is harmful to you in religion And God sought sustenance from His treasuries *** It is between the Kaf and the Nun In this sense, Abu Hazim Al-Araj said to some of the Caliphs, and the Caliph asked him, What is the matter with you, O Abu Hazim? He said, May God be pleased with God and rich in people. People have money and I have two money that they do not have *** If the people of money are guarded by guards My money is content with what I now own *** and my money is despair of what people own His uncle Hisham bin Abdul Malik said to him, when he was appointed governor of Bahrain, what is your food, Abu Hazim? He said: Bread and oil. He said: Do not tire them out. He said, If you poison them, leave them until you desire them. (will) divine note A soul does not know what it will earn tomorrow, and a soul does not know in which land it will die. Indeed, God is All-Knowing, All-Aware. And these days are nothing but a loan*** So I could not do so from his favor so I could provide for him You do not know in which town you will die or what God will do tomorrow They say don't go far, and whoever comes after him, two arms from near loved ones, is far away ( will ) From a woman from the offspring of Hassan bin Thabit Ask goodness, good people have not asked *** A boy recently tasted the taste of life ( will ) A wise madman said it to an oblivious caliph, Harun al-Rashid made the pilgrimage on foot for his oath. Give the world to you *** Isn't death coming to you? Except, O seeker of the world *** leave the world to Shatika How much does the world demand *** and the inclination is enough for you |
