Avoid it, whether it is an act or omission, and what is permissible is your choice. If you are dominated by the desire for profits, then avoid the permissible and work with what is obligatory or recommended. However, if you dispose of what is permissible, act in it in the presence that it is permissible and that if the Lawgiver had not permitted it to you, you would not have disposed of it, so you will be rewarded for what is permissible, not in terms of its being. It is permissible except insofar as you believe in it that it is a law from God. The ruling is not transferred after the death of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. The ruling is the essence of the law, and that door has been closed. So what is permissible is permissible, and it is never obligatory or prohibited. The same applies to every one of the rulings, even if it occurs to you. It is obligatory, so go to it without a doubt, for it is from the kingdom, and if a thought comes to you regarding a representative, remember the first thought, for it may be from Satan, so remain firm on it. If it occurs to you to leave it for another representative who is higher and more worthy than him, do not abandon the first, and remain firm on it, and preserve the second, and do the first, and it is necessary, so if you have finished with it, Begin with the second, and do it also, for Satan will undoubtedly return defeated, as he did not achieve his purpose. With this medicine, Satan’s sickness will go away from your soul, and you will be as long as you live. Satan will not meet you in a place except that he will take a place other than yours, if you treat him in the same way.
